World War Z has received a new update and that brings with it a whole range of amenities, especially crossplay between PC and Xbox One. The crossplay includes PvE missions and the wave-like Horde Mode Z for matchmaking and the official game servers. PC and Xbox players can now compete against the zombie hordes together. PS4 owners still have to be patient, but the crossplay for the Sony console should follow.
The update also includes new weapon variants with unique perks, balance improvements for PvE and the Horde Mode Z, as well as four premium character skins, available in a bundle or via the Season Pass.
To celebrate the update, you can download and play Saber Interactive's co-op shooter for free from the Epic Games Store until April 2nd. Xbox One players are currently getting a 75 percent discount as part of the Deals with Gold, but only until March 30th.
