It’s official now, despite the new organization, E3 2023 also loses Xbox, one of the three manufacturers in the market alongside PlayStation and Nintendo. RIP small living room?
We won’t simulate the surprise as it’s already been taped, but Xbox is confirming her absence from E3 2023. This story is starting to smell bad…
Xbox says no to E3 2023
E3 2023 has just opened its registration but the show is already empty. Earlier this year, our colleagues at IGN stated that according to their sources, the three manufacturers were avoiding the mainstream of video games, and they were right. Despite his mental support, Nintendo made his absence official a few days ago.
We take our participation in each event on a case by case basis and are always looking for different ways to communicate with our fans. Since this year’s E3 doesn’t fit into our planning, we decided against participating. However, we have been and remain a strong supporter of ESA and E3.
Over VentureBeat.
And now it’s Xbox’s turn, which will organize its presentation as it does every year before E3 2023, but will not go into the aisles of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
We’re excited to hold our Xbox Showcase on June 11th and we’ll be announcing more details later. We are also looking forward to streaming our event as part of digital E3, but will not be physically present with a booth.
Over IGN.
A conference followed by a full presentation of Starfield before its release in September. If Microsoft is reserving its large cartridges for E3 2023, however, surprises are likely to occur without warning in the weeks leading up to the show.
And PlayStation in all th is?
PlayStation hasn’t spoken yet, but is it really necessary? In addition to what IGN says, the manufacturer has been doing very well without the E3 for several years and is happy with State of Play, which works. Therefore, even with a new organizing team – Sony, like other publishers, seems to have had disagreements with the previous one – not sure if the game is worth the candle. However, the Japanese company should not hide in silence.
According to journalist Jeff Grubb, who has a solid reputation around the world, the blue brand would do anything to create a big PlayStation showcase around E3. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, expected in 2023, needs to be talked about, as does Final Fantasy 16, which is slated for release this summer. We’re also hoping for gameplay from The Last of Us Factions.
