The latest news about the Xbox Game Pass was not so good – nobody really likes a price increase. But a popular promotion is apparently making a comeback.
Word should have gotten around that the Xbox Game Pass has now become a lot more expensive. The Xbox Game Pass now costs 10.99 dollars instead of 9.99 dollars and the price of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has also increased to 14.99 dollars. Not nice, but in view of the generally increasing costs and rising prices for streaming providers, it is generally unavoidable.
In return, an action that was filed by Microsoft a few months ago is apparently returning – the trial month for one euro. As seen in the Xbox store, this is again available for all three variants: Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. At the end of the trial month, which only costs one euro, membership is automatically extended as usual and continues at the full price.
So if you’ve always been interested in trying out Microsoft’s subscription service, this is basically the best opportunity. It remains to be seen how long this offer will be maintained or whether it will eventually go back to the attic.
In terms of content, it’s definitely worth it. You can expect an extensive library of games from Microsoft Game Studios, from Bethesda (including the soon to be released Starfield) as well as titles from other studios, such as GTA 5 or Insurgency: Sandstorm in July. The Game Pass also includes the Xbox Live Gold membership for multiplayer games and the EA Play offer.
