Microsoft has released new business figures, revealing that the Xbox Game Pass has been extremely successful and has reached an impressive milestone.
The gaming industry is booming, especially during the Corona crisis, during which more gaming is being done than ever. Microsoft also benefits from this and breaks a milestone with the Xbox Game Pass. According to the current quarterly figures, ten million players have now subscribed to the Game Pass – not exactly little, but the service also has a lot to offer.
The question of what sales Microsoft generates from this is more difficult, because the diverse offers and promotions combine a whole range of different prices from one euro for several months to 12.99 euros per month for the Ultimate version for PC and Xbox .
However, this has little effect on sales from gaming and hardware sales. Game revenue decreased by one percent, content and services increased by two percent. Hardware revenue has even dropped by 20 percent, but this is not uncommon, especially as prices have been reduced further, and many players are waiting for the next generation of consoles.
Microsoft can also be quite satisfied otherwise. Xbox Live has 90 million monthly players and hundreds of thousands of players are currently enjoying themselves on the new streaming service Project xCloud.
