Shortly before the Christmas break, Microsoft is nailing its heads when it comes to the free games at Xbox Games with Gold in January 2021. We’ll tell you what you can look forward to specifically.
In the New Year, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can of course look forward to free games again – month after month, just as you are used to. Shortly before the Microsoft employees go on the well-deserved Christmas break, the line-up for January 2021 has now been announced.
Accordingly, gamers can look forward to four free Games with Gold again – two each for Xbox Series X / S or Xbox One as well as for Xbox 360. Thanks to the downward compatibility of the newer consoles, the X360 titles can of course also be played on the current platforms.
It starts with the indie darling Little Nightmares from January 1st and until the end of the month, in which you can immerse yourself in a dark and disturbing story that confronts you with the fears of your childhood. You can help the young girl named Six on Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One to escape from the abyss.
From January 16 through February 15, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will follow on these platforms. This is an atmospheric platformer that is gambled from the 2.5D perspective. The well-known protagonist of the franchise takes you on a journey through all kinds of fairytale landscapes in order to save the world from the nightmares of the Nightmare Prince.
The games for the Xbox 360 that can also be played on Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One are The King of Fighters XIII, a more recent part of the long-running Beat’em-Up series, from January 1st to 15th, and from January 16 to January 31 at Breakdown. In the latter you are trapped in a mysterious laboratory free of any memory and as Derrick Cole you have to discover your extraordinary powers in order to survive in the fight for life and death against a military splinter group.
