This evening Microsoft broadcast the Xbox Partner Preview Showcase – and it had several new announcements as well as numerous trailers and release dates to offer. Here we give you an overview of everything you need to know!
Tonight, Microsoft aired the previously announced Xbox Partner Preview Showcase – the second major showcase following January’s Developer Direct. A number of titles were honored, including some new announcements. Here you get an overview of all relevant news and trailers.
Final Fantasy XIV Online
As is well known, Square Enix’s MMORPG is set to hit the Xbox Series X/S – and now there is a specific release date for it. You will also be able to get started on the Xbox console on March 21, 2024, and an open beta test phase is now available. At launch there will be a Starter Edition in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for a limited period until April 19th.
As of March 21, 2024, the Xbox version of the long-running MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV Online now has a specific release date.
The Sinking City 2
Frogwares has announced The Sinking City 2, a survival horror sequel with a Lovecraft setting. You can find further information in our separate news report on the topic.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
The game’s appearance had previously been confirmed; this will appear in 2024 for Xbox Series X/S and PC – then also in Game Pass. Attached is fresh gameplay.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Legends of the Zone Trilogy
The three earlier shooters are making the jump to consoles for the first time; The trilogy that was previously leaked online is now available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Unknown 9: Awakening
The long-lost Unknown 9: Awakening from Bandai Namco and Reflector Entertainment has returned to the scene. The Alters
11 bit Studios has finally given a deeper look into their promising sci-fi game The Alter, which relies on a mix of adventure, survival and base building elements. You play as the simple worker Jan Dolski, who creates alternative versions of himself in order to escape from a planet. The title will be available directly in Game Pass upon release.

Frostpunk 2
The sequel from 11 bit Studios now has a release date for the PC of July 24, 2024 and will also be part of the PC Game Pass upon release. The title takes place 30 years after an apocalyptic snowstorm and you have to face the resulting harsh and icy wasteland in order to survive.

Sleight of Hand
