Microsoft is still busy expanding the services around the Xbox consoles. The next step not only improves accessibility, but further enhances cloud gaming.
Microsoft has announced plans to add mouse and keyboard support to Xbox Cloud Gaming in the future. This emerges from a developer video by Morgan Brown from Microsoft. Accordingly, the developers are called upon to support these possibilities and use them in their games.
“Xbox has been supporting keyboard and mouse for a few years now, and we’re working on adding it to streaming for PC users,” reads Brown. That’s good news. Mouse and keyboard support not only improves the playability of many titles, but also, and most importantly, their accessibility, especially for gamers who don’t necessarily have the ability to use a controller.
Exactly when this will happen is still unclear, but experience has shown that it won’t be that long.
