Microsoft has confirmed that a popular feature is making its way back to the current Xbox consoles: thanks to a close cooperation, direct Twitch broadcasts are now possible again.

Via Xbox Wire Microsoft has announced that you can broadcast directly to Twitch again on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One; the much-requested feature returns to the consoles. To this end, they are now working more closely with Twitch to make live streaming from the Xbox easier overall in the future.

You can access Twitch directly from the Xbox Guide and set up your setup in just a few steps. To do this, use the “Record and share” tab and select “Live streaming”. You can then store your Twitch account by scanning the QR code provided with an Android or iOS smartphone and calling up the URL.

Once your account is linked, simply select the “Go live now” button and you’ll be online on Twitch and ready to play and live stream games you’ve downloaded to your console.

In a further step, a compatible headset and your webcam can be connected. Built into the options is the ability to manage game and microphone audio levels, include party chat, and even manually set the resolution and bitrate. If you want to switch games mid-session, that’s also possible.

The new Twitch feature is just the first of many planned updates developed based on player feedback; further optimizations and implementations are to follow in this regard.
