Gaming News Xbox: This super exclusive Xbox is leaving Game Pass!
While Microsoft is developing many exclusives that will end up in Game Pass in particular, others see the years go by and sign their goodbyes. This is the case, for example, with this title from Remedy Entertainment.
Into the Nexus
If the Xbox One hasn’t had the success Microsoft was hoping for – and we strongly advise you to check out JV Legends on the subject to find out everything – However, Microsoft has tried to lure the public with some flashy exclusives. For example, we can cite Ryse: Son of Rome from the fathers of the Crytek series or Quantum Break by Remedy Entertainment.
This sci-fi shooter with a supernatural touch was released in 2016 only for Xbox One and PC. For the record, Remedy is none other than the studio behind Max Payne, Alan Wake or Control. In addition, Quantum Break has been set in the same universe as these last two games, since the Finnish company has formalized the “Remedy verse”.
It’s just goodbye
As an Xbox exclusive, Quantum Break was therefore a natural part of the Game Pass catalog for years. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and most importantly, the franchise is still owned by Remedy, who see their contract with Microsoft ending:
As a reminder, Quantum Break took at its center Jack Joyce, played by American actor Shawn Ashmore, who discovered powers after a strange temporal break. A rather atypical experience with a very dynamic and cinematic style which we gave a 16/20 score at the time.
So you don’t have much time left to enjoy the game if you’re a Game Pass subscriber, so hurry up: Also keep in mind that the Remedy-verse will be expanded even further with Alan Wake II, as well as several Control games.
