Is it an old, pimped-up, pocket-sized speed camera from the 70s? Is it a brick with cameras? No, we’re talking about the new Xiaomi 14 Ultra, the images of which have now been leaked.
It’s currently being ridiculed on Weibo for its appearance – but it actually has a few nice features to offer (in addition to its rather rustic look).
This is what the smartphone looks like according to the leaks
On the website xiaomiui.net The following images were uploaded. These were also shared in a Weibo chat, among others, whose users have a clear opinion about the design:
Im Weibo chat commented a user named Fusheng Hisense:
It looks like a brick.
Another user writes bluntly:
Even with a privacy cover you can see that it is ugly.
The site is the primary source of the images Coolapk
at. A user is said to have leaked these images there. However, there are no direct links.
Particularly exciting: The inscription N1 P2 EU on the back. N1 means it is the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. According to Xiaomiui, P2 is the indication that it is a prototype.
Thanks to the EU abbreviation, it is also very likely that this could at least be a global version of the smartphone. The Xiaomiui website interprets this to mean that the smartphone model is currently being tested for the European market.
By the way: If you want to read more leaks about this smartphone: A few weeks ago we already talked about a possible release.
It’s the inner values that matter
Here we have listed some leaked information about the inner workings of the smartphone, which are known in addition to the rustic exterior:
▶ battery pack: What is known about the battery is that it will be 5180 mAh and will support 90W wired charging. Wirelessly there is “only” 50W.
▶ Camera: With the quad camera, you can probably look forward to a 50-megapixel main sensor, with a 1-inch sensor. There is also a 3.2x zoom periscope lens with a focal length of 75 millimeters for telephoto and macro shots.
▶ Display: We reported rumors that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s display could be around 6000 nits bright. A screen like this would break all existing records. However, it is unclear whether the European model will have a similarly powerful display.
What do you think of the new Xiaomi 14 Ultra? Does it suit your taste? Do you have this smartphone on your watchlist or are you well equipped when it comes to smartphones after Christmas? Would you want a 6000 nits bright display? Feel free to write us your thoughts in the comments.
