Xiaomi has announced details of its first flip phone. The Xiaomi Mix Flip contains features that are sure to make Samsung fans jealous.

On July 19, the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi will present its first foldable in flip format. Even before the presentation, Xiaomi has released the first technical details about the social platform Weibo shared. Among them are some special features that owners of Samsung’s latest foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, have to do without.
If you look at the published images, you immediately notice that Xiaomi has designed the Mix Flip’s external displays without borders. In contrast, the Z Flip 6’s display is limited by black borders. This is also reflected in the dimensions: The new Xiaomi Mix Flip offers Gizmochina sea an external display that is 4.01 inches, while that of the Z Flip 6 is only 3.4 inches.

As Gizmochina reports, Xiaomi has also built a speaker and a microphone into the Mix Flip above the top cover of the camera on the outer display. This allows you to make phone calls while the phone is closed. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, on the other hand, switches off calls when folded. automatically switches to hands-free modebecause it does not have this technology.
At 4,780 milliampere hours, the battery of the Xiaomi foldable is larger than that of the Z Flip 6, whose battery has a capacity of 4,000 milliampere hours. The Xiaomi Mix Flip also surpasses the Z Flip 6 from Samsung in terms of charging speed, as it can be charged with up to 67 watts, while the Z Flip 6 can be charged with a maximum of 25 watts.
Since the Xiaomi Mix Flip will also be available in a version with 16 gigabytes of RAM, you can assume that more demanding processes will be possible with it than with the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which only offers 12 gigabytes of RAM.
Price and availability
Currently, neither exact prices nor information about the international release of the Xiaomi Mix Flip are known. Xiaomi founder Lei Jun’s annual speech on July 19 could provide more details.
