- Xiaomi has also started the first tests.
Google has released Android 13 for its Pixel smartphones. The update will also follow for the first Xiaomi cell phones later this year. To ensure that this runs smoothly, the Chinese manufacturer is now looking for testers for the firmware.
Xiaomi heart in them own forum launched an official call for software testers. There is talk of a new MIUI version, which should be based on Android 13. To become a tester, you need a Xiaomi 12 Pro or a Xiaomi 12. Other smartphones don’t seem to be unlocked for the trial.
It is important that your smartphone is equipped with a global ROM and not with a country-specific ROM. In your settings you can find out which ROM is on your device under “About”. If there is a “MI” in the current version, it is a global ROM. It is also an advantage if you live near a Xiaomi service station, as technical problems could arise.
