Maybe you would prefer to switch to another email provider. But wait! Before you do that, you should definitely delete your Yahoo Mail account. After all, an unused email account can still be the target of a hacker attack. To prevent your private messages and data from being stolen and misused, you should deactivate your Yahoo Mail account as follows.
Your email address will only be deleted immediately if you no longer have an active subscription and there are no outstanding payments. In addition, at least 90 days must have passed since the end of the paid period for all canceled subscriptions. It may therefore be that your account is not actually deleted until several months after you have completed the above steps.
