In a recent interview, underworld Creator Toshihiro Nagoshi said his next game at the new studio will be “like a Quentin Tarantino movie.”
Nagoshi was recently interviewed by German publication 4Players (translated by VGC), where he provided some simple details about his next game, one from Nagoshi studio exist NetEase. While he couldn’t provide any specifics, he did talk about how he didn’t want to get too far from his roots.

“I want my game to be more like a Quentin Tarantino movie – so there’s a sense of humor. Stuff that’s intimidating or bloody cruel isn’t for my taste – I want to be human, a little silly and Seriously, that’s how I feel at the moment.”
Nagoshi also talked about what everyone can expect to see, and he had to keep it vague, but he did note that he thinks he’ll go to market with the title “faster than other developers.”
Late last year, Nagoshi confirmed he was leaving the studio, leaving Yakuza, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, before announcing his new studio in January of this year. Ironically, when Nagoshi announced his new studio, he did note that he was leaving because he wanted to do something different, but apparently there are parts of his video game style that he couldn’t leave.
