If you’re wondering if it’s possible to build a mech in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – yes, yes.
When we all saw that you could make some absolutely wacky builds in those Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailers, we all knew people would end up building some impressive builds. After all, we live in a world where people create entire cities in Minecraft, so with the tools available in Tears of Kingdoms, someone could end up making something cool. Well, it’s not final, since the game was only released yesterday, but someone has actually made a mech. Spoiler alert for some game mechanics ahead.
The clip, from 4kliksAlex, which you can watch here, shows off the build, which is obviously pretty ridiculous. Not only is it fully mobile, driving around the place on a few wheels, but it’s also equipped with suitable artillery. This mech is not just for appearance, it has function! About halfway through the video, you can see the mech take down Hinox in a matter of seconds.
If you’re thinking of making a build like this yourself, you need to put in the work. You can see in the video that the mech needs all eight Zonai batteries to run for a long time, and when it starts to blow up, it goes through those things like a 10-ton truck.
On top of that, you’ll want the auto-build feature, which you won’t get until a few hours into the game. Understandably, you might need a little help getting started, and we’ve got a guide to help you figure out where to go first if you want to play the stories in order.
