Feel like your breakfast doesn’t convey to the world enough how much you love video games? Well, Xbox is now selling an S-Series toaster.
Yes, this is the stage of capitalism we have reached. A small kitchen gadget shaped like a fun little box that you can use to keep games like Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Alan Wake 2 playing on the screen. Your morning snack will never be the same again.

Like everything in the gaming industry these days, cryptic rumors about an Xbox Series S toaster emerged last March after Microsoft decided to release an Xbox Series X-shaped refrigerator. Now, as Twitter users discovered Wario 64the toaster is already on the shelves of one bricks-and-mortar retailer, selling for $39.99, or about £31, at Walmart.
“This appliance will take your kitchen countertop to the next level,” the device’s description reads. “The color selection knob allows you to bake bread, English muffins, freeze, and bake just the way you like, anytime, anywhere. Waffles and bagels, toasted anywhere from light to dark.” It also comes with a built-in countdown timer, just in case you’re a wimp who doesn’t like the task of toasting each time without producing some burnt The challenge of burnt cinders.
However, its most noteworthy feature by far is this: “As it heats the bread, it imprints the Xbox ball logo on the bread.” Yes, as you can see in the toaster’s promotional image, This is exactly what you thought.
Sadly, it doesn’t seem to emit a Phil Spencer quote every time some toast pops up, like some kind of Console Wars version of the Red Dwarf talking toaster.
Walmart defines it as “the perfect gift for console gamers and Microsoft fans who want to show off a little something extra in their kitchen, dorm room, office or apartment,” which is probably the saddest sentence ever written in the English language.
If last year’s rumors are at all accurate, there could be some Xbox-branded products like ramen bowls, pen holders, and storage boxes appearing on shelves soon.
