Baldur's Gate 3 not only uses turn-based combat, as seen in Divinity: Original Sin from developer Larian Studios, but it can also be added to the entire game.
The previous Baldur Gate game does not have a turn-based combat function, but uses a real-time game with a pause function. But they were released more than 20 years ago, and times have changed, grandpa.
In the event of a conflict, Gate 3 of Gate Broad is completely turn-based, but this is also the mode you can switch to deal with other difficult situations.
By enabling the turn-based mode, players can use it more strategically for stealth situations, divide your team, arrange team members to manage our dungeon and fortresses, deal with difficult problems, and then solve robbery in the game.
"Part of the decision is that we know the turn-based system, followed by the fifth edition (D & D) in turn, so it makes sense," senior writer Adam Smith told VG247.
"A round may add time, you can do it in real time and pause it, but it makes sense-again, I'm not saying you can't do these things in real time and pause, but I think it's much more difficult." He said .
"It allows you to do things like split up parties and have one person stand on high ground and another on low ground. This means that when the battle begins, it will feel better, 'I will understand the tactics … I will send this person here, I will do this, I will send this person behind and push the enemy. '
"This level of control is able to zoom in and say,‘ well, what am I doing here? What do I think I want to do? ’I can go into inventory and take inventory. I do n’t feel like I ’m wasting too much time.”
And, if you want micro-management, you can even use turn-based mode throughout the game.
"We can also use stealth. It's much easier to do power-based operations. I mean, you can play a turn-based game the whole time," Smith revealed. "It's really boring, but you can. But it does allow us to do super complicated robbery situations, and so on, which is really fun. It feels different."
Baldur's Gate will enter early access later this year and will begin with five companions. They are all romantic, you filthy birds.
