We love rankings. That’s why we’re going through the big game series one by one and sorting them from the best to the worst – at least in our opinion. But games are a matter of taste, so of course other opinions count too. Especially yours!
We continually ask you to take part in surveys and tell us your point of view. Now up to date: Which Call of Duty is the best for you?
Your answers are very exciting, because on the one hand your ranking looks completely different than ours (you can find our CoD ranking here). On the other hand, you don’t agree with each other either; the gaps between the individual games are sometimes surprisingly small.
This is how you voted on Call of Duty
Let’s compare yours and our top 3 CoDs. According to your ranking, the last time most of you were excited about Call of Duty was over ten years ago. But your leaders are neck and neck:
- Platz 1: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012) with 17 percent of the vote
- Platz 2: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) with 16 percent
- Platz 3: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) with 14 percent
And now the first three places we voted on for our GameStar ranking:
- Platz 1: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007)
- Platz 2: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009)
- Platz 3: Call of Duty 2 (2005)
Here you can see the entire ranking of the GameStar community:
You also voted a little differently than us for the back seats: Advanced Warfare, Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty 3 and Vanguard each only get one percent of your votes. For us, Vanguard is in the middle of the field with 12th place, but Ghosts ends up in the last four.
That’s what you say about the vote
Naked numbers are all well and good, but your comments always reveal more than just the boring list! Kaeps133 wrote the comment with the most upvotes and wishes the good old CoD days were back:
Definitely CoD1! CoD 2 was still good after that [sic] things went downhill for me.
CoD and CoD 2 overall get a lot of love from you, just like the first Black Ops parts. But GS user Pestbeule holds the flag high for one of the lowest ranked:
Of all the parts, I was most impressed by Infinite Warfare. I voted that way too. The Space Dogfights were mega. The weapons and movement in multiplayer were also really fun.
Thank you for participating and voting diligently! More than 3,000 GameStar readers checked the box in the survey, which makes for a reasonably representative group. By the way, the first Call Of Duty landed at number 1 on Steam, with an incredible 94 percent of positive user reviews.
