One kidney less but one Nvidia RTX 4080 more
The Palit GeForce RTX 4080 OmniBlack and GeForce RTX 4080 GameRock models cost £1,449.97, which is 14% more expensive than the GeF orce RTX 4080 RRP in the UK. For an Nvidia RTX 4080 PNY you have to pay 1199 dollars (excluding taxes) or 1449.97 pounds (including taxes) in the UK or at least 1687 dollars for an RTX 4080 from Palit. A pretty crazy sum when you know that Nvidia’s home version costs 1469 dollars. These prices obviously refer to the 16GB version, as the 12GB version has been completely discontinued by the manufacturer.
If we take into account the 100 euro difference for a basic version compared to the RTX 3080 generation, the surcharge for a custom build and the ever-increasing total inflation for this type of product (and the others), we arrive at sums of the sort 1650 euro for one classic custom version. There is no doubt that the price for a higher-end MSI version should significantly exceed 1700 dollars or maybe even 1800 dollars.
For information and such I reported VideoCardz, The GameRock Palit GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4080 models are listed in the UK at 14% more than the GeForce RTX 4080 RRP. In short, it will be necessary to heat the credit card … (or not).
