The Gamescom Opening Night Live took place yesterday, and for those with an Xbox Game Pass subscription there was plenty of news to play with the still-good games the service has. So here’s a quick roundup of all the Game Pass games that were shown, as well as the new additions for August that Xbox announced shortly before the start of ONL.
Starting with the games you’ve undoubtedly heard of, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 revealed its campaign gameplay and announced an open beta date, Starfield’s “Shattered Space” DLC was released along with a free lunar rover, and Raiders of the Lost Ark also revealed its release date and plans for a PlayStation release.

Then, there are games announced at the show that you can play on Game Pass day one. Sniper Elite: Resistance It was revealed in the preview that it will be “[turn] The award-winning series focuses on “a hidden war far from the front lines, deep in the heart of occupied France,” set to premiere in 2025. Following up on the main show was the announcement of Goat Simulator Remastered – a remake of the original Goat Simulator that will be released later this year and will be another Day 1 Game Pass game. You can check out all the details on what it will include here.
Then, there’s the upcoming Game Pass additions in August, which were also announced yesterday. First up, you’ll be able to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 through the beta when it launches on August 30. Before that, the very gritty action-RPG Atlas Fallen will hit the cloud, PC, and Series X/S on August 22, while the popular mining and crafting indie game Core Keeper will arrive on those platforms on August 27.
Then, on September 3, the stylish space transport simulation Star Truck Driver Available on cloud, console and PC Game Pass at launch. Cities: Skylines, Control: Ultimate Editionand Snow Runner It will also be available in the Game Pass Core library on August 21. Oh, and Genshin Impact will be coming to Xbox later this year, so judging by the trailer, that game may also be coming to Game Pass.
