Calling all Baldur’s Gate 3 mod fans on your console, you should probably start uninstalling them, as the incoming patch will make your saves unplayable.
It’s no secret that Baldur’s Gate 3 players love mods – they have been downloaded over 50 million times since the release of Patch 7, and I’m sure there have been even more downloads since Larian shared this fact . Some of you console owners may have installed too many patches, though, and as Larian shared via the official Baldur’s Gate 3 Twitter account, a console-only patch is in the works for those with more than 3 This version of the host is particularly relevant. There are 100 mods installed on the console. “We will be releasing a console-only hotfix in the near future designed to prevent instability, performance degradation, and crashes when playing over 100 mods on console,” Larian explained in a tweet.

“While we recommend only installing mods you know you will continue to play to maximize stability, this patch will limit the number of mods you can enable on your console. At the same time, we recommend not enabling it on your console Over 100 mods for the console to avoid any issues and we will share more information with you soon! ”

A follow-up tweet states that if you have more than 100 mods installed on your console, “an upcoming console patch will temporarily render saves with more than 100 mods unplayable while we prepare to release a follow-up fix that will give you access to uninstall some existing mods.” After having the mod, the saves of more than 100 mods that are not installed will not be affected!”
I’m not sure why you want to install so many mods, but apparently it’s a big enough problem that Larian had to make a full patch for it. Larian hasn’t revealed a release date for this patch yet, so you’ll still have some time to uninstall some mods, but at least your saves will be playable again soon – just keep an eye on the developer’s social media in the meantime.
