If you’re a fan of Once Human and wish it had an FPS mode, you probably shouldn’t, as developer Starry Studio has no plans to release one.
Like any third-person shooter released, some fans of Once Human want a first-person mode, but they ignore the fact that when the game is built in a certain way, the first-person mode may break the game in unexpected ways. As spotted by PCGamesN, Starry Studio shared an update responding to some common topics, which also include characters, controls, and cameras. Speaking of FPS issues, Starry wrote: “Adding a first-person perspective may conflict with the current game design. At your request, we will consider adding first-person elements to future scenes and game modes. However, we currently have no plans to add a first-person perspective to the game.”

Essentially, don’t expect it to show up in the main game, as it is a third-person game after all. In more positive news, Starry has also confirmed that the 0.3-second delay before a character starts moving will be removed, writing: “The move finishing animation consists of about 20 movements and is quite complex, so it will take some time to perfect some details.” It also notes that jumping is getting an upgrade, with plans to change it so that “the character will not start jumping until it reaches a certain height,” as you can now jump and leap at the same time.
Starry mentions that some fans are discussing cursor lag issues, but notes that this has been resolved and if you are still experiencing this issue, please report it. It also notes that 3D motion sickness and the ability to sprint without holding a button can be changed in the game settings. Finally, it also reminds everyone that controller support is coming soon and is expected to be launched in August of this year, so those who held off on purchasing the game don’t have to wait too long.
