As time passes, the actors we met in the MCU’s big moments are giving up their place to others. This time it’s about an iconic actress of filmography.
The fact that the Marvel Universe was able to achieve such success in the 2010s and early 2020s is largely due to its top-class cast. Every superhero now has a familiar face in our heads. Robert Downey Jr. is just as Iron Man as Chris Hemsworth Thor or even Scarlett Johansson Black Widow. Based on that premise, who better to embody Scarlet Witch than Elizabeth Olsen? Except that you have to choose…
Marvel, one less actress
In the reputable media magazine Variety we have the opportunity to read an interview with Elizabeth Olsen. And on page 65, she talks about her experiences in the MCU and her work for Marvel Studios. In particular, she states that she now wants to do something else as an actress and break away from the character.
It’s been almost 10 years… I loved it… I’m just trying to find a way to relate to other movies and other characters.
At least she doesn’t spit in the soup. She explains with humor:
The reason I don’t call Kevin Feige with ideas every day is because I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished.
We remember in particular the talent of the actress for the very acclaimed series WandaVision, but also more recently Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in which she brilliantly interprets a very dark version of the character that sends shivers down your spine.
A possible return?
Like Chris Evans, it’s hard to imagine certain iconic Marvel actors never coming back into the circle. Be it just for an appearance linked to the multiverse, or simply for your own film. In the meantime, if you like Mary-Kate Olsen’s sister, you can find her in the miniseries love and death on HBO Max, in which she plays the character Candy Montgomery. De Do you think Elizabeth Olsen will come back?A in the MCU for his role?
