If you’re a Fallout fan, there’s a good chance you can’t wait to play Fallout: London when it launches in April. Interestingly, the modders who have been working on the project are in a similar position, and we caught up with one of them to find out what mod content they personally can’t wait for players to experience and try. For themselves.
If you’re unfamiliar, Fallout: London is a massive Fallout 4 modding project that lets you leave the Commonwealth and explore the ruins of the British capital. It’s been in development for a few years, and the team behind it has provided plenty of sneak peeks at the interesting factions and locations it will feature.

Modder Neeher is part of Team FOLON, the “huge” team behind Fallout: London, and we recently caught up with him to talk about this weekend’s Bethesda Community Modding Showcase. “I’m mainly the character animator and 3D modeler on the team, but I’m not the only one,” explains the modder, “which is nice because if we need help with something or taking over someone else’s Work and we can talk to each other. Workload should be a question or time [if] Real life gets in the way. “
Given that many of the animations in the Fallout games are designed to make actions like firing a gun or smashing objects with a super sled look seamless, it’s no surprise that Neeher is excited to see players try out Fallout: London’s weapons . “It’s going to be fun to run around London and explore with the various weapons I animated,” he said. “It’s one of the things that connects players to the world around them, and having all these unique weapons really solidifies your game. Experience.” is no longer in the Commonwealth. The flintlock weapons we made were interesting, [and] We’ve shown them before. [They’re] Very powerful but don’t miss it [with them], because then you’re faced with a 15-second reload and you have to go through the whole tedious process of loading a rifle with black powder. It’s too time consuming, it’s better to find a place to hide! “
The modders also designed some one-off animations to help make certain moments in the game feel more unique and special. “One of my favorite things I’ve ever done is this boat scene, [which] You can see a clip from a recent Fallout: London release date video. In the beginning, there was a self-driving automated ship that could take you from one place to another. Then we decided it would be great if there was a real character driving it and taking you to your destination. It took a while, but in this sequence I made a character out of a boat and react to the world around him, and I think it turned out really well. “
Making mod parts that work fine as is, but could be made more interesting or immersive by adding some extra animations, looks have become Neeher’s specialty, and you’ll see this at the start of your game . Fallout: London Adventure. “At the beginning of the game,” the modder outlines, “you will [previously] Just press a button on your keyboard to get the Atta-Boy (our version of Pip-Boy), and you can move on to the next goal. That’s boring! I went in and made an animation where your player character actually walks up to it and grabs it, looks at it, and interacts with the Atta-Boy. Makes it feel more fulfilling and memorable. I do this a lot with weapons too. “
“There are many other things [like those] I’d like to talk,” Neh concluded, “but then we’d be getting into story spoilers, and well, you’ll all have to wait and see! “
