Youtube shows 4,000 series and 1,500 films for free
According to US media, YouTube has made deals with several major film and series production studios, such as Disney or Warner Bros., to make the offer a reality. Of course, this helps a lot in getting large amounts of content onto the platform. The fact that these are offered free of charge is new. With its large reach, YouTube is of course exceptionally well suited to trying out advertising-financed sales models.
Germany start uncertain
It also remains to be seen whether the offer will make it across the pond. In Germany, a VPN provider is therefore required in order to be able to consume the offer.
