Horror cinema is associated with several trends that are themselves very established. To shake things up, the director Chris Nash (Life Changer, The Void) decided to completely change his point of view his new film that premiered at the famous Sundance Festival. I had the privilege of seeing this film in preview. This film contains some of the most believable murder sequences and is by far the most violent film I have ever seen. Nash is a genius and should not be underestimated, he will not disappoint you.
“In a Violent Nature” does not reinvent horror cinema, because it is nothing more and nothing less of a slasher (Friday the 13th, scream…). On the other hand, it offers a unique approach that, with its very cold side, risks disturbing a certain number of viewers. It remains to be seen whether the public outside the festival will react to this whether the film will be able to leave American borders at some point.
