Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League never hit theaters, but Zack Snyder seems to be hinting that its release time has finally arrived.
I think one of the strangest things about the last few years in the film industry has been the clamor for Snyder to come out with his own version of Justice League, due to his failure to direct Justice League. Historically, Snyder hasn’t made amazing movies, but Joss Whedon’s take on Justice League was apparently bad enough to drive fans crazy, even if most of the hype actually came from robots. Still, enough people really loved it that it never got a theater release — it was a streaming version that came out in 2021 during COVID, so it couldn’t be released. Now, however, it looks like it might be, years after it was released.

Zack Snyder shared a black and white photo of Ben Affleck as Batman on his Vero account, captioning “Want to see [Zack Snyder’s Justice League] On the big screen…stay tuned.” This is clearly a hint that it will hit theaters at some point, though how wide its release will obviously remain unknown until Snyder reveals more. Hell, who knows if it’ll even be released anywhere outside of the US, so if you’re an international fan of the Snyder Cut, well, you’ve done the promotional campaign before, so I’m sure you know the drill.

At this point, it looks like Snyder is indeed going all-in on the director’s cut, as he announced last month that both of his Rebel Moon films will be getting director’s cuts this August.
Meanwhile, DC Films co-CEO James Gunn is currently filming his new Superman movie, and it looks like the movie will feature a fitting cameo.
