It seems that some statues of goddesses from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are popping up all over Brazil.
Marketing is a complex beast, as different regions need to come up with different ways to appeal to their target audience. Most of the time it just involves funny or emotional commercials, good game trailers, stuff like that. But it seems like whoever is responsible for Nintendo in Brazil is doing something different, because people keep finding real-life versions of the goddess statues you find around Zelda: Tears of Kingdoms.
People have been sharing sightings on the Zelda subreddit in more than one place. One statue was found in São Paulo, sitting between some trees in the middle of the road, and another was found in the Max Faffer Park in Suzano. It’s a really cute gimmick, since the statues look like completely accurate recreations of their versions in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. In the game, you visit them to increase your heart and stamina, but there’s no guarantee these statues will have the same effect.

It’s unclear if these statues appear anywhere else and are only found in Brazil, but it’s certainly a great way to get people talking and excited about the game.
So far, Tears of Kingdoms has done so well that it has been named the highest-rated game of all time by OpenCritic, as well as the highest-rated game of the year. One industry analyst even believes that Tears of Kingdoms could stay on the top-seller list for years, which would allow it to rival titles like Grand Theft Auto V, which still somehow shifts massive copies every month. .
