It seems that the exclusive games have the days counted and that the developers are increasingly betting on bringing their first party products to other platforms. First it was Xbox who was encouraged to move their entire catalog of exclusive games to PC, using Windows Store first, and then arriving through Steam. It was recently confirmed that Death Stranding, the game of Hideo Kojima, was going to arrive on PC in the summer of 2020 and now it seems that another exclusive PlayStation will make the leap
The renowned Jason Schreier of Kotaku has made official this afternoon that according to own sources related to PlayStation, Horizon: Zero Dawn will arrive this 2020 on PC. The well-known journalist affirms that the game will make its arrival on PC just like Death Stranding, a title with the technology share since the Decima engine that uses the Kojima game is owned by the Dutch studio.
The fact is that it was known in advance that Death Stranding would end up on PC, since Kojima's studio is an independent developer, but this would be the first case in which a Sony First Party studio takes an exclusive game from its platform to PC
It was just Horizon the game that it served for the studio to take a giant step inside the company, creating one of the most promising new IPs of this generation. Waiting for its sequel, it seems that PC players will be able to drive the tooth to the first part from their platform. In the end, the future of video games will be in playable ecosystems and not in titles.
