The world in the loot shooter The Division 2 is largely immersed in chaos, but unlike many other post-apocalyptic scenarios exceptionally times without zombies. At least until now. In the co-op shooter, terrorists developed a bioweapon that triggers a fatal disease, causing New York to drift in anarchy in the first game and Part 2 Washington DC.
As part of the new season model, which was introduced with the DLC Warlords of New York, an optional event will soon come into the game world that sounds a lot like a form of zombies. The Reanimated event is scheduled to run from May 5 to 11, 2020.
Where did the information come from?
One player on Reddit noticed a banner in Division 2 that was related to an event called Reanimated, in German »revived«, refers. The announcement can also be found in the official Ubisoft blog.
Zombies finally coming to division? Close enough I suppose. from r / thedivision
In-game you can read the following description:
"New enemy technology causes enemies to be resuscitated after death. The only way to stop the resuscitation is to head-fire the brain response. Participate to get rewards."
So if that doesn't mean a slightly different form of division 2 zombies, we don't know either.
No zombie pressure: If you don't feel like zombies, you can also leave the event aside, as the phrase "opt-in" suggests. So you have to actively participate in the zombie event in Division 2 to get in touch with the new undead.
