What is the premise?
Once again, it’s the Flipnote Studio app now in 3D. You create flipper-style animations, but now there are also 3D features that will make your illustrations stand out.
What it lacks in the comprehensive art tools department, it makes up for in an accessible and surprisingly intuitive design that allows anyone to create simple animations incredibly easily. Of course, some people go to incredible lengths to create masterpieces — and you can look forward to similarly impressive works in the upcoming Countdown.
Why should I play it?
It’s essentially free, provided you have 200 Platinum Points and access to the I Nintendo Store. Your ability to share your work is limited thanks to the shutdown of other Flipnote-related online services, but there are other options for sharing work created with this powerful little tool:
