You may recall that last month, Nintendo nominated 4 people to join the company’s board of directors after a grueling financial results meeting. They are Yusuke Beppu, Miyoko Demay, Eiko Osawa and Keiko Akashi. However, to actually join the board of directors of the company that made the Switch, applicants had to be approved. This had to be done at the shareholders meeting that took place the other day and was the source of some news.
Well, the candidates are officially approved. Yusuke Beppu, Miyoko Demay, Eiko Osawa and Keiko Akashi are now part of Nintendo’s board of directors. Of the 4 who joined, 3 are women. This brings the total number of women on Nintendo’s board of directors to 4. Before 2020, there were none.
