Patrick the starfish from Nickelodeon’s Spongebob Squarepants may be getting his own video game, according to a new online listing.
In short, the online store is ‘pass‘ had a page up for “Patrick Star game“, which Outright Games describes as an open-world physics-based playground. Switch is reportedly one of the platforms this game is coming to alongside the PlayStation and Xbox releases.
Here’s a full description and a look at the game’s box (through social networks):
“Patrick fans, your time has come – and Bikini Bottom is your open-world playground! You can skydive with just an umbrella (or none at all), search for buried treasure in a junkyard, or unleash your rage in Mrs. Puff’s Rage Room. Use almost any item that you find, from a reef blower to a can of paint, to give Patrick even bigger challenges that only Patrick would set.
So become the star of the show, put your craziest ideas into action, and enjoy the physics-based chaos unfolding all around you!”
This kind of gameplay sounds similar to a certain Nintendo game that also has plenty of physics-based chaos and open-world fun. Gamescom and Opening Night Live both take place later this month, so assuming this is the real thing, we might find out more soon.
