It may be obvious to say this nowadays, but Nintendo has had a long history of having fan projects and uploads taken down for copyright infringement. Unfortunately, another example of this has recently happened via YouTube.
YouTuber DeoxysPrime recently confirmed on Twitter that “effective immediately I will be removing all Nintendo music from my channel”. According to DeoxysPrime, they have been hit with more than 500 copyright claims by Nintendo over the last week over music uploads.
They later said on their channel that fans should “be respectful of their right to do this but also please continue to push Nintendo to release their music in official formats, because there’s no reason these soundtracks should have to disappear forever”. Their tweet about the matter is down below.
