It’s official – you can now play Tears of the Kingdom using an actual bow, shield and sword, thanks to the ingenuity of a dedicated Legend of Zelda player. YouTuber Lledos has surpassed Nintendo’s controllers and themed devices by creating a “mech suit” that allows him to play motion games in the real world. Forget the swing mechanics of Skyward Sword or the Wii steering wheel of Mario Kart—Lledos’ suit is packed with sensors that transmit his actions directly into the game. In his latest project, he tackles Tears of the Kingdom, and the result is nothing less than spectacular.
“Welcome to Legend of Zelda with a mech suit,” Lledos announces in his video. He shows how his suit mirrors Link’s in-game movements, including fight sequences where he uses a real shield and sword to defeat enemies. For Link’s abilities, Lledos dons special gloves that allow him to build, carry, and fuse objects, making him look like true telekinesis.
