The incorporation of Team Battle mode also brings a new twist to the 10th Maximus Cup of Tetris 99, which runs from 11 p. M. PT from December 12 at 10:59 p. M. PT on December 16. The 10th Tetris 99 competition will be available to all Nintendo Switch Online members and will take full advantage of the new Team Battle mode. Points will be awarded based on the locations during each game, and at the end of the event, the 999 best players will earn 999 gold points that can be used to help buy games on Nintendo eShop.

As shared, this version includes the new Team Battle mode, which allows players to select one of the four available groups and compete together to see who is the last to survive. Along with this, these novelties have also been added:
