Alexey Pajitnov, creator of Tetris, details his participation in the film

As you know, we have already shared on the web on several occasions the existence of a live action movie inspired by Tetris that is on the way. Well, today we receive news related to it after its original announcement in 2016 and with Jon S. Baird as director for Apple TV +.

Specifically, today we have been able to hear statements from the creator of Tetros, Alexey Pajitnov

. Do not forget that the tape will arrive on March 31 to Apple TV+ (through Entertainment Weekly). It’s a biopic about the origins of Tetris and “how Henk Rogers (played by Rocketman’s Taron Edgerton) managed to secure the intellectual property rights to the game from Alexey Pajitnov (played by Nikita Yefremov), in the context of the Cold War.”

In the text below, we can see how involved Pajitnov has been in the development of the film. These are the words that the creative has shared in a recent interview with Polygon:

We were involved in writing the script from the beginning. We did our part to make it as truthful as possible, but we always understood that we needed to compromise on several points. After all, we have our lives compressed into a very short two-hour movie, and some exaggeration is natural. But I want to say that, spiritually and emotionally, it is a very correct and very true story told from the screen.
