If you think back to last year, you might remember that Nintendo and the Seattle Aquarium teamed up for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons event. Well, that very event is hitting the road as Nintendo has announced that the ‘Animal Crossing Aquarium Tour’ will be hitting seven different North American cities in the coming months.
The tour kicks off later this week, with the event kicking off in South Carolina from June 14th to August 11th. Below you can find the dates and locations for each leg of the tour.
- Ripley’s Aquarium in Irtle Beach, South Carolina – June 14 – August 11
- Audubon Aquarium in New Orleans, Louisiana – June 21 – September 14
- Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia – August 1 – September 26
- Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, Oregon – August 26 – October 20
- New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts – September 21 – December 14
- SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium in Tempe, Arizona – October 4 – November 17
- Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, Tennessee – December 21 – February 28
Anyone attending one of the tour dates can take part in Animal Crossing-themed photo opportunities, read about the wildlife thanks to Blathers’ handy tags, and redeem plat inum points at Nintendo kiosks.
If you’re really lucky, you might even get a chance to meet and greet Isabelle, Tom Nook or KK Slider who will be on certain parts of the tour on select days.
Event tickets will be included in the general admission price for each station and can be purchased at the respective aquarium on the day.
We stopped by the Seattle Aquarium to check out the Animal Crossing event last year and were pleasantly surprised by the cuteness of it all. Of course, there is no guarantee that this tour will be exactly the same (we’d imagine it would be almost identical, but you can read about our experience in Seattle below.
