After around 7 years since the last main installment of Animal Crossing, New Horizons It has become one of the highest rated games in Nintendo Switch, both by critics and by gamers (you can read our analysis for more information), but it turns out that a sector of the public does not like to be exclusive to the hybrid console.
Following this, the title has undergone review bombing on Metacritic, leaving the note by the users in a 6.5 out of 10, while that of the press is 91 out of 100
We leave you with some below:
If there is more than one person in your house who wants to play, you need two Nintendo Switches. The worst decision I have ever seen, this even beats EA. Congratulations Nintendo, you have officially become the worst video game company this year!
I bought it to play with my wife. While it is possible, we cannot have our own separate islands. After doing some research, Nintendo has apparently LIMITED EVERY SWITCH to one island… From now on we'll stick with our Playstation 4. At least Sony respects its customers.
Limiting an island per Switch (not per cartridge, per Switch) is pointless. It is obvious that Nintendo is only trying to sell more consoles… Sorry, but this is an instant 0/10.
The objectives of the game are not clear, there are multiple tasks, but none leads you to a greater objective or at least I did not see any interesting narrative that took a turn at the end, it is sad and shameful to have superior hardware like Nintendo Switch. The developer studio has opted for that annoying world from an isometric perspective, and they have not made the leap to the more open world like other sagas have.
Although it's understandable that some players criticize limitations in multiplayer and being able to have one console per island, This does not mean that the title deserves a 0 out of 10 or even a 4 out of 10.
One of the saddest news that makes us hope that the practice of review bombing ceases, what did you think of the game? Leave us what you think in the comments!
