“Library Fight Simulator” Ruina Librarywhich was previously released on Xbox and PC, will finally get a worldwide release this spring on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The ProjectMoon-developed title will be published by Arc System Works and will be available for $39.99 (or your regional equivalent).
In this title, you take control of a library director who welcomes guests, fights them, and when they are defeated, they turn into books. According to the trailer description, there are over 100 hours of gameplay as well as music and art collections to enjoy.
Here’s a rundown of what to expect, and you can also watch the announcement trailer (above):
“Ruina Library is a game that uses the “library battle simulation” concept. You will invite guests to the Library and engage in battle with them to obtain “Books” with their stories.
Battles are played with “librarians” and “guests” using cards and dice. You can plan against the moves of the guests by looking at the cards they will use and choose the most optimal cards to counter.
When combat begins, how the dice from your chosen card fall will determine whether you win or lose the battle. However, the outcome of the dice is not determined by pure luck alone. Certain effects and variables will shift the outcome of the dice in your favor and against it.
Be sure to carefully choose which cards to use to win the battle with your guests. See the outcome of your choices and how fortune unfolds as your librarians and guests argue. You can go through an exciting experience, putting everything on the line with thrills like betting.”
