Developer Blue Firefly Games and publisher Short N Sweet Games have unveiled a trailer for their upcoming side-scrolling game Udo (Unidentified Drilling Object), coming to the Nintendo Switch February 1, 2024.
With challenging, fast-paced gameplay, Udo is still designed to be completed in about 3 hours. Its gameplay is very reminiscent of Downwell where you constantly drill to unlock perks, items and unique powers. We love Downwell, and watching the trailer for this one, Udo definitely gives off the same vibes. We are ready for it!
Let’s take a look at the key features:
The only way is down: Unique core mechanics of fast scrolling down. Master the mechanics of your drill to blast your way down a gruesome hole in a rare side-scrolling game format. You will be surprised how many different things you can do with it.
JUICY, JUICY, Roguelike: Enjoy super tight and rewarding gameplay as you unlock perks and extra powers for your character and blast through 4 ever-changing worlds with randomly generated levels in a carefully crafted Roguelike loop, upgrades and progression
The loved one meets the new:UDO brings the familiar retro pixel art roguelike style with unique gameplay mechanics that are easy to learn, hard to master, 18 different character skins and a crudely funny corporate story
Shame: Make each run unique by choosing different suits and upgrades to shape your play style. 36 game-changing skills, 5 pieces of gear that change the way the player practices and interacts with environments to discover and master
Udo will be available through the Nintendo eShop for $14.99 / £13.29 / $14.79 / R$19.99
