One of the games competing for game of the year isn't even a AAA game released by a major video game company. Balatro, a roguelike poker card game, was released in February of this year on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch. Since then, it has been a huge sales success and received universal critical acclaim.
However, you may be surprised to learn the sales success of Balatro. You see, the official social media for Balatro shared the news earlier today that the game has now officially managed to sell 3,500,000 units.
