Before we get started, you may want to check out our previous results here:
Building
It all started with the unveiling of Magearna, the first known Generation VII Pokémon, in February 2016 to coincide with the movie, Volcanion and Marvel Mevel. When that arrived, the ball started rolling and later that month, at the 20th anniversary of Pokémon itself, revealed Pokémon Direct Pokémon Sun and Moon on topic only. Just two and a half months later, we took a look at the new Alola and Pokémon that were staying there. From there, details are released every few weeks and, when Pokémon GO released in June of 2016, the hype began again when Pokémon hit the main program.
Nine months after the reveal, Pokémon the Sun and Moon were released worldwide and the seventh generation started in earnest!
The Big Series
Generation 7 was different in that it did not have a one-year gap in the main series; each year you bring us the main theme of the series.
The first – released on November 18th 2016 in Japan, Australia and North America and November 23rd 2016 in Europe – was Pokémon Sun & Moon. Pokémon Sun & Moon has served as a soft reboot for the Franchise with a lot of chasing what we thought was regular encounters in the Pokémon game. Like Generation 6, it was a full 3D release the battles are often similar in appearance, but the extra terrain was changed dramatically to look like it was normal and very closely related. Set in Alola's tropical region, players pass through all four islands ending the Island & # 39; Trials & # 39 ;, small operations on each island reaching the battle with Totem Pokémon – actually a Pokémon boss who gets a stat boost. This added a new element of the way news and Pokémon games are, making it less about fitness and helping make the region feel like a character in its own right way.
Story-wise, Sun and Moon have introduced an in-depth strategy to beat the Pokémon game, to your advantage or to your detriment depending on who you talk to. In this game, while exploring the region, you help a girl named Lillie and a mysterious Pokémon name Nebby. He learns about Team Skull, a group of thugs that failed the Island Trial Challenge, and the Aether Foundation, a group that was determined to protect Pokémon, but things go awry when the head of the Aether Foundation discovers mysterious Pokémon from other creatures known as Ultra Beasts, as well as Lilly and -Nebby are drawn to this crazy plot.
On the machine, the big news is that Pokokmon Sun & Moon introduced the concept of Z-Moves. While Mega Evolutions in Generation 6 is raising 46 different Pokémon, either Pokémon can use Z-Moves. Each move can turn into very large movements. You can use each battle, so it's time to unlock your special Z-Mov change strategy.
There is a lot to talk about with Pokémon the Sun and Moon, from the less well-known Plaza Plaza, the world-leading machines of multiplayer, Battle Royals, Poké Pelago and Cell Zygarde drawn around; It doesn't matter, it actually changed a too much of things up.
Recently, Pokémon Direct in June 2017, Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon were unveiled for the Nintendo 3DS, and released in 2017. The games were enhanced by the way out (Pokémon Sun & Moon, for the first time), the first time this has happened since Pokémon Platinum in 2008, they took the basics of the original game and took them to another. The game changed the story to focus more on Ultra Beasts, introducing Ultra Recon squad, another group of international actors wishing to hunt for how to defend their reality in The Blinding One, Legendary Pokémon Necrozma, which has some new forms in the game.
Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon improved on many things. They've changed the trials and made Totem Pokémon boss and Pokémon's last boss, Ultra Necrozma, too much Harder. It used to be a tough game throughout, which the fanbase had long been asking for. It also introduced five new product Pokémon, and was the first Pokémon game to introduce the newest beast ever in a generation.
The main titles of the seventh generation series are actually on Nintendo Switch and, as of now, don't have any interaction with the previous key Pokémon games. In a revelation at a special press conference in May 2018, games Pokémon: Let's go, Pikachu! & Pokémon: Let's go, Eevee! it was revealed. These games are a reminder Pokémon Yellow and combine some Pokémon GO concepts – such as no longer being captured in battle – and other games from the main series games. The titles are a great differentiator for Pokémon games, gaining a record of some hardcore Pokémon fans due to the removal of key features, but it has gained a lot in the mainstream gaming community.
These games contain a modified version of the Battle of the Sun and Moon and a full engine, but take out the items and skills of & # 39; Hold & # 39; Featuring the first of 151 Pokémon and the newest Pokémon, the games were designed to entertain old fans and GO special players in a huge lineup of collections.
While somewhat simplistic, the games have difficulty turning and, after the game, feature Master Trainers. Trainers have the ability to mock and train their Pokémon through a new stat system that allows you to cast each value to stronger levels than before.
With these games, it's hard to say which way we'll enter with Generation 8, but with the promise of a traditional outing, who knows what we'll see when the switchch gets a new & # 39; His Pokémon later this year.
Pokémon
Generation 7 brought a total of 88 new Pokémon to the race. 81 with Sun and Moon, 5 with Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and 2 with Pokémon: Let & # 39; s Go! While it is still the second lowest Pokémon number to show kindness to any generation, there is a reason for this, which we will soon find.
Starter Pokémon are the Grow / Flying-type owl Rowlet, the Cat-type Cat Litten and the Water-type seal Popplio, which also follows the Grass / Fire / Water template set down by previous games – but these Pokémon made a big change in their games from the last appearance. He also has a Grass / Ghost-type archer owl Decidueye, a Fire / Dark-type wrestler Incineroar and a Water / Fairy-Type soprano Primarina. This is among the unique ideas of the first Pokémon, and each comes with its own unique Z-Move.
Far from the legendary Pokémon, the seventh generation introduced a number of uniquely designed monsters. From the wolf of Pokémon Lycanroc – with different breeds depending on what time of day you produce – to the dragon Drampa and even the unique little fish Washiwash transforms into a large fish school, there are certainly many different ideas from Alola Pokémon.
Pokémon-famous respectively, it follows the minimalist approach of Generation 6, with Generation 7 hitting its head and incorporating 22 popular Pokémon, including Ultra Beasts. Not to mention the Ultra Beasts, that's still 11 Legendary Pokémon, but this one comes with cravat. For the first time, you know it to appear Pokémon famous. The man-made version of Pokémon: Null just goes for Pokémon Silvally, which is like Arceus can be any type depending on the catch. In addition to this, the Legendary Pokémon cosmog will appear in Cosmoem and, depending on your game, on the cover of the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo or Lunala.
There are also four island keepers, the Legendary Pokémon that protects the Alola islands from natural disaster: Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini, each of which indeed she is good at competitions. Last but not least is Necrozma, a Poker Psychic type that can combine with Solgaleo and Lunala for maximum power and then reach its Ultra Burst Ultra Necrozma type with the Ultranecrozium Z attachment a bit. and the most driven of each generation.
Afterwards we get Ultra Beasts, a Pokémon class that is similar to the Legendary Pokémon in the game's code but many consider them to be part of their unique team. There are 11 Ultra Beats creatures in the generation and these come from a different place. In their own realm, & # 39; they are the best dogs & # 39; they also include exaggerated drawings and strange wild figures, often minute / anxious so they have high funny scores and some are downright funny, to be able to balance.
First we have Nihilego, the Rock / Poison-Type Ultra Beast which is very evident in the game's story. The idea is that they are a minority. The following are the special Buzzwole and Pheromosa types, both Bug / Fighting types. Xurkitree is a unique Pokémon that looks like a bunch of cables turning into a Christmas tree. Kartana is one of the smallest Pokémon and features the highest Attack stat away from the Mega-Evolved Pokémon and is based on origami. Celesteela probably mimics the Ultra Beasts; the type of instrument / flight and one of the largest Pokémon available. Guzzlord is a unique Flax / Drako from the original that resembles the world you play on, where the one found in another version of Alola destroyed it by blasting everything. Poipole is a unique Pokémon of the Poison type from Naganagan with the idea of poisonous needles. Last but not least, Strakataka is a protective beast built on the idea of being a brick-and-mortar mixed with a castle, and Blacephalon is a Fire / Ghost type based on candles and fires. Wow!
Generation 7 doesn't stop there and continues with many tens of Mythical Pokémon. It started with both Sun and Moon, adding a third to Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon and finally two more to Let & # 39; s Go, Pikachu! & Off we go, Eevee! The first was Magearna, the first Pokémon revealed to the generation. It's a metal / fashion Pokémon that was said to have been created thousands of years ago and is found endlessly with the QR Code. Marshadow is a Pokémon fighting / Ghost-based vision of a creature that lives in your shadow and can copy your skills. Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon introduced the Mythical Pokémon Zeraora, a form of Electric-Pokémon that is said to be fast and durable. Finally, Pokémon Let & # 39; s Go introduced Mythical Pokémon for their interaction with the mobile title Pokémon GO. When you connect the two games, you can grab various Meltan in Pokémon GO and send it to Let & # 39; s Go. To top it off, you also have the ability to present Mythical Pokémon for the first time in Mythical Pokémon Melmetal.
The value Pokémon just introduced can be explained by a new concept introduced in the generation: regional forms. Regional forms for the replacement of Pokémon are in place at the new regional level. From this, their composition, movesets and figures change, in effect causing them to produce a new kind of Pokémon. From Ice / Fairy-Type Ninetales to Fire / Ghost-Type Marowak, these new models have given new life and usefulness to 18 old favorites.
Generation 7 generation certainly introduces a large number of unique Pokémon concepts. For a full list of Generation 7 Pokémon, check out this list.
The Anime
The Pokémon Sun & Moon anime has firmly diverted from the past and changed its structure. No longer an adventure based only, it became an anime & # 39; of-life & # 39; as Ash lives in Professor Kukui's house in Alola and studies at Pokémon School there. This comes with the first change in anime style since Black & White, where the characters are drawn to be more soft – a change that, like other things of this generation, was very divisive. You could be easily forgiven if you thought this was a reboot, but if there were many references to the previous series, it really is something that goes on.
Or the usual anime style, we still learn Ash through the region and end the exams and beat the Grand Trials of each island. Her teammates at Alola are more numerous than ever, with Lillie, Lana, Mallow, Sophocles and Kiawe as classmates and traveling with her throughout the region.
Occasionally, there have been various long arcs in the series as well, which comes down to the best news lists that people have come to expect, especially following XY&Z series in Generation VI. This includes an arc where Ash and company have been searching for Cosmog, ending it with Cosmog from Solgaleo and entering Ultra Space to save Lusamine from Ultra Beasts. This arc included the Ultra Guardian, a group of trainers who defend the region from the Ultra Beasts; The current arc looks like it will reach Professor Kukui who launched the Pokémon League. While this anime can be stupid, it does have some serious moments, too.
Movies
In Generation 7, movies take a slight deviation from the great anime. Rather than tie in with the anime's current position, the movies are set differently, but still offer Pokémon throughout the Generations.
It started with it Pokémon choose you, a retelling of Ash's original journey, a diversion just after meeting Ho-Oh. In this movie, he does not meet Misty and Brock but instead, on their journey, he meets Verity and Sorrel, the Sinnoh trainers, and joins them as they find out more about the Legendary Pokémon so Ash meets Ho-oh.
The second movie, released last year, says Our Strength. The movie features a group of characters from Fura City, a city built around Lugia's backyard after a massive fire. In the aftermath of the catastrophe, the team must work together to save the city and protect Mythical Pokémon Zeraora from hunters.
A third generation anime Mewtwo Beats Back EVOLUTION. This movie looks like the original 3D CGI restoration Mewtwo Beats Back movie. At the moment, it is unclear whether this movie is a good shooter solution or if it will deviate from the original, much like Pokémon I Choose That deviates from the plot of the first series.
Finally, for the first time, a Pokémon action movie will be released on May 10th 2019. Pokémon: Detector Pikachu is a Nintendo 3DS Spin-off title channel the same name and features Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu who co-stars with Tim Goodman, played by Justice Smith, to assist Tim in finding the truth about his dad's fate. This is the first official time in which Pokémon has been transformed into a live performance and has a lot of stuff wrapped in merchandise and trading cards.
Spin-Off Games
Spin-off games were not uncommon in Generation 7, with many games as an extra & # 39; service & # 39; In fact there were very few & # 39; of a particular generation.
Nintendo 3DS
In contrast to the uncomfortable playing titles, Pokémon had one game to come out on the Nintendo 3DS: Detective Pikachu. The game was finally released worldwide after the limited edition, of her tea in Japan, was released in 2016. The story features Detective Pikachu and boy Tim Goodman, who can understand each other. Their journey eventually leads them to find out what happened to Tim's lost father.
In addition, Pokémon Shuffle continued through Generation 7 and added all Generations 7 Pokémon to Mashadow, various genres and continued until the service finally expired in mid-2018. It can still be played with the rest of the Pokémon stage cycle in a week, and will do until the end.
Swap Nintendo
In 2017, an enhanced version of the 2016 fighting game, Pokkén competition, disconnected from the switch. Pokkén Contest DX including all original content and multiple characters, including Darkrai, Croagunk and Decidueye; there were other categories supporting Pokémon and other categories. It also featured the DLC to add even more beauty. It has a winning series of the year too, for players around the world to play in it.
In 2018, a new free theme for gaming Nintendo Switch and mobile devices has been released. This game, Pokémon Quest, was created for Game Freak and does you control different Pokymon species through Tumblecube Island, collecting ingredients to get more Pokémon and hunting for mysterious powers. This game was completely free to play, but could be boosted by a few transactions.
Mobile
Pokémon GO has been released over the last few months of Generation 6 and continues to get stronger throughout Generation 7. It has added many features over the years, including Trades, Battery Batteries, Generation 2, 3 and 4 Pokémon and even Alolan Forms from Pokémon Sun & Moon. In partnership with Pokémon Let & # 39; s Go, it has become one of the biggest Pokémon locations as a franchise.
Pokémon Duel is another mobile game introduced late in Generation 6 that has been trending and adding content throughout Generation 7, including Generation 7 Pokémon and even Z-Mov mechanics. This game is based on the Pokémon Trading Figure Game of the early 2000s and used a 6-figure chair to try and reach your opponent's home goal; it's like chess in some way.
In 2017, another mobile title was released. This game Pokémon: Magikarp Jump and a simple game. In it, you lift Magikarp, feed it until it is too tight, and use it to participate in leales that compare how much your Magikarp can jump. If you win, you move on to the next battle, but if you lose, you release your Magikarp, gain experience, and start again. The game has included three updates that add new Magikarp styles and more Supporting Pokémon.
Pokémon Trading Card Game
Generation 7 brought the end of Pokémon EX cards and introduced a new mechanic, Pokémon GX. Pokémon GX works the same way as Pokémon EX but with a unique twist; they have one movement that can be used only once per game among all GX moves throughout Pokémon in your deck.
This went even further with the introduction of Ultra Beast, which adds results to their journey based on how many Reward Cards you and your opponents have.
Finally, the most recent addition to TCG is Tag Team GX. These cards combine the two Pokémon together such as Celebi & Venusaur, Lucario and Melmetal, Snorlax and Eevee and have a very powerful GX Pokémon GX with added power effects if you have extra power inside, but by holding … Your opponent takes three Prize Cards.
Conclusion & See the Future
Overall, Generation 7 was split in two. While it didn't have a variety of replacement heads, the headlines were filled with unique ideas from Sun & Moon's new way of playing newcomers with Pokémon: Go Go. Probably the most tempting of all generations, The Pokémon Company is trying out a lot of new things with Franchise.
As we approach the next generation of Pokémon, we have to start thinking. Will they continue with these unique ideas and concepts? How will Pokémon GO adapt? What surprises will be there? Will action movies continue? Only time will tell, but give us your predictions below, and let us know what you think of Generation 7.
