North America
Certainly more modest than its SNES counterpart, the North American version of DKC on the GBA is about our titular monkey and his miniature sidekick. Platform partners are front and center here, clinging to the vine and probably looking for where to land next. Simple but effective.
Japan
The Japanese cover is similar, no doubt, though that wider box gives some extra design for a more detailed jungle. DK and Diddy are in almost identical poses (although Diddy is looking at little the other direction), but we get a much better view of the couple’s surroundings, with the added mountain and treetops in the background and the vines in the foreground.
Europe
Things are a little busier in the European version. DK and Diddy’s vines are submerged in a barrel, and Candy, Cranky and Funky appear. We especially like the camouflaged big baddies in the jungle background, it’s handy to cram as many sprites as possible into a small cover space.
