Europe / North America
The European and North American design hardly goes all the way for the board game aesthetic (hell, if you don’t know the series, you’d be unwise to watch this), but it’s pretty nice on the eye. same. Mario and friends jump from the central logo, while Yoshi reels the fish in the background. There are also some neat Koopa Kid color variations here – he looks remarkably similar to Bowser Jr. might we add.
Japan
Japanese frame art uses rectangular region shaping for even more detail. A bunch of bonus characters make up this one (including even more Koopa Kid colors), and we’re particular fans of the Luigi slide in the upper left corner, even if it looks a little disjointed. All of this is plastered over a starry backdrop that seems appropriate for the series when you think about it.
