Be sure to cast your votes in the poll below; but first, let’s look at the box designs themselves.
Europe / North America
This is the box art we’ve always expected for the Metroid Prime remaster. Why? Well, because it’s practically identical only to the original GameCube design, uh, remastered.
Of course, this is not to the detriment of the overall design. Samus is still standing there looking pretty damn cool, and the extra shine on her armor thanks to the improved visuals is enough to send a shiver of excitement through us.
Japan
Now this is something a little more dynamic! Yes, Samus has every right to stand proudly, watching the space corridor of her choice; but this is a series about everything actionand the Japanese cover conveys it much better.
Itself a remaster of the Japanese cover of the original, this one similarly nods to the game’s past while showing off some of that remastered brilliance. From Samus’ running pose to the visor filter over her helmet, this sells a different kind of game. Less epic, of course, but more action-based.
Thanks for voting! See you next time for another round of Box Art Brawl.
