This morning we share with you the announcement of a new event of Magikarp variocolor in Pokémon Sword and Shield to celebrate the New Year, as well as the distribution of a new gift through mysterious gift code (you have all the codes collected here).
However, you may not have encountered this one so far. Shiny Pokémon, so here we bring you some useful steps to increase the chances of getting it.
They are the following:
- For the event to start in your game, you must go to the Mystery Gift section> Receive news from the Wild Area, being connected to the Internet. In this way, nests with Magikarp will begin to appear in the Wild Area
- Explore the nests with red halo in the Wild Area in search of nests that have Magikarp and combat and defeat or capture everyone you see. This increases the probability that a Varikcolor Magikarp appears.
- The event lasts until January 3 at 23:59 UTC, so take advantage of fighting all the Magikarp raids you see until then.
- The probability that Magikarp variocolor appears in these incursions of the event is 13.33% as standard, so it is certainly a good opportunity.
