In a press release issued today, Capcom President and CEO Haruiro Tsujimoto confirmed that an employee at the company had a coronavirus contract (COVID-19).
The release indicates that one employee working at Capcom's headquarters in Map-ku, Osaka was tested for the virus. Capcom promises to work with health authorities to try to prevent any further spread, commit to monitoring the latest employee activity and anyone they may have encountered, and removing viruses from the corporate office.
It read, "priority will be given (to provide) to prevent the spread of disease both inside and outside the company and the safety of employees, business partners and partner companies."
An Nintendo of America employee also tested a coronavirus last month, which led to the closure of an entire company at its company, a New York grocery store, and repair centers.
