Capcom has had a successful year so far, thanks in large part to the releases of Resident Evil 4 Remake and Street Fighter VI. Meanwhile, the company has Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice Trilogy coming out early next year. Of course, Capcom is more than just those 3 franchises, a topic brought up in a recent Q&A with investors and shareholders.
Capcom was asked about future plans for Monster Hunter, Toraware No Palm, Sengoku Basara, and Onimusha. In response, Capcom says that “we are in discussions to expand these titles in the future so they can be enjoyed by a wider audience.” This isn’t surprising compared to Monster Hunter, but this might be interesting for fans of Toraware No Palm, Sengoku Basara, and Onimusha.
But that is not all. Mega Man was also mentioned in a couple of questions. One question was about future plans for IP. Capcom responded by saying that “Mega Man is one of Capcom’s historic IPs and fans love it, and as such we want to be mindful of how we develop the series. We are considering how to approach the production of new entries in the series, which requires a number of factors, including developing a solid concept, ideas and gameplay, etc.”
Another Mega Man question was about ports and collections of Mega Man titles that were previously released. In response, all Capcom said about the matter was that they are “reviewing our approach to ports of past titles, which includes addressing technical issues.”
