A whole new character for the upcoming football anime has been released Captain Tsubasa: Rise Of New Champions, is set to launch on Nintendo Switch later this year.
It gives us our first proper look into the game's story mode, which is especially useful for those who aren't familiar with the manga the game is based on. You can check it out for yourself above – don't worry, there are still all the high-quality shooting and shouting features you can expect – but we also have a written description directly from Bandai Namco below:
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions will feature a story mode that allows players to reenact the legendary stories of Tsubasa Ozora, i Tsubasa's episode. This story mode will cover the entire National Middle School Tournament tournament and feature some of the most important original matches. The Tachibana twins, Hikaru Matsuyama, Kojiro Hyuga and many others of Tsubasa's main competitors are expected to appear in the match, bringing their best performances to the stadium. Depending on the number and flow of the game, special cutscenes can be triggered, whether to retell the story directly or allow for some new surprises.
We're still waiting for the final release date for the game, but here's hoping we don't have to wait long before we get our hands on it. We'll make sure to update you when we have more details.
Until then, feel free to let us know if you had kept your eye on the one below.
